According to the book the best oil for a 261 babbit pounder in moderate
temperatures is straight 30 weight.  I personally use Penzoil and am quite
pleased with the performance.  I have used various oils and grades from
20w20 to 20w50 including 10w30 and 10w40 but have experienced the best
performance with the book recomended straight 30W
