The engine size in cubic inches is stamped on top of the block
immediately
in front of the right-hand head. If it's the original engine, it will
probably say "305B" and then a serial number. The later 305's were a
305E.
The heavy duty version was a 305C. The 351 wasn't available in the
light-duty trucks until 1966. The 401 and 478 were only available in the
bigger trucks. There were a couple of other variations in sizes, too: a
379
and a 432, I think. Some people have swapped the bigger engines into the
light-duty trucks, however, since they were all built on the same block.
