Fred,

    That is a great truck! I have a  '51 GMC that looked a lot worse. These
things take time.
    I gave up on trying to find anyone to work on my truck. Nobody
understood the torque tube drive or wanted to take time to repair things. If
it didn't come up on their computer, they couldn't be bothered. So I bought
a shop manual, talked to a few people, and then did it myself. Everything is
pretty simple once you understand how it works. The GMC shop manuals
(reprints about $25) are very detailed. This list will help if you get
puzzled (we all do).
