David, I second Greg's idea of Quincy area for a drive.  Many, many years ago
I and a group of hiking friends back packed and camped out in the area and

Oooo, I like Greg's idea: Quincy area.  The Feather River Canyon, Hwy 70, is
a fast sweeper's dream.  So good that the ticket the leader will get will
almost be worth it. And Bucks Lake Rd. is an exquisite back way that is far
more technical for those 1st and 2nd gear lovers.
