Wendell,
Actually, sidedraft Webers are back in production, however they are made
in Spain, and not to the high level of finish and care when made in
Italy, though they have features that make them easier to tune properly.
The only other good thing about the Spanish carbs is the price went down
a little. If one wants Italian-made sidedraft carbs, they will have to
buy NOS or used carbs. I've got old 40 DCOEs, and a couple of newer
Italian-made sets ready for future Triumph and Lotus applications.
Wanna slip a set onto the Mogggie?
Cheers,
Greg
