Listers,
I have been told that most motorcycle engines are designed for getting to
high revs fast on a light vehicle rather than being engineered for torque
and getting a heavier vehicle up to speed as fast as possible - SO -
motorcycle engines are probably not the answer for any car/driver over 1000
pounds. I've noticed that most three wheeled cop/parking bikes use a
different version of the engines used on persuit bikes. What about
reverse???
I once knew a guy who had a Honda 750 bike powered BMW Issetta 1-door - Had
to use a Chevy starter motor to power a reverse gear!!!!
Has anyone ever measured Mazda Miata running gear???
Cheers,
