May 29 & 30
Thursday: there was a visible sunrise, so off to work Ol'Blu and I
go. The trip in was uneventful but on the cool side. With the engine
running at the thermostat temp there is no heat from the engine and
transmission to keep me warm . Of course, in the summer I'll be
complaining about too much cabin heat. On the way home a school bus
full of kids were waving at Ol'Blu, several horns tooting and thumbs
up from motorists. No other British cars spotted.
Friday: We managed a 2fer, another day with sun and mild
temperatures. Very light traffic, on the drive in to work at 05:45.
The ride home was almost a repeat, warm and sunny and the trafic was
still on the light side. I still have not seen any other British
cars. A big car show coming up this Sunday, British by the Sea,
sponsored by the Connecticut MG Club. Weather doesn't look good.
About 200 miles so far this week.
