Hello Janet,
I'm not sure where your located (USA or elsewhere?) but there
are several sources for parts and technical advice.
In the US there is Morgan Spares (http://www.morgan-spares.com/)
and in Britain there is Melvyn Rutter
(http://www.morgan-motors-cars.com/).
Rutter is a good source for mail order parts as he seems to
stock nearly everything. Send for his catalogue. It's about
$10 but makes a good reference. And his parts are almost
reasonably priced when the Pound is doing poorly against the
dollar.
The Morgan mailing list (http://www.team.net/tn-mail.html)
at SOL is a great service for soliciting technical advice
from other Morgan owners.
A branch of the SOL site (http://www.team.net/www/morgan/)
has a lot of technical info including a really good parts
cross-reference that tells you how to find Morgans parts
from non-Morgan cars. This can be a big money-saver.
Your 1956 4/4 is an older "narrow body" version similar
to my 1957 4/4. I've found that a lot of our parts (bumpers,
top, tonneau, windscreen, brakes, wheels, etc.) are not
"standard" even by Morgan's loose definition. Some of them
can be very hard to find.
Good luck with your project!
Best Regards,
Joe DeLuca

Hello ,
I happen to be looking about Morgan cars and came across your e-mail
address. I have been unsuccessful in finding a place for Morgan car parts. I
was hoping you or someone you know may extend some information to me. I
truly
would appreciated it. My husband has had the car sitting for so long and , I
know someday he would like to begin restoration. It would mean so much to
both
of us. Any information you can share will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you ,
The Morgan Enthusiast's wife <S>
