Just spent the afternoon at the Kruse Auction here. Hmmm...
Did anyone else see the '57 Plus 4, 4 seater? It had been modified in a
"different" way. This example had, three (I think) flex exhaust pipes
exiting the bonnet on each side and entering the wings which had been cut
down, eliminating the running boards which were replaced by single, chromed
tail pipes that stopped in front of the rear wheels. All of this was just
for "show" and went nowhere.
What were they thinking????
On three occasions, I've had the experience of pulling my ride of the moment
up to a traffic light or a parking stall and coming face to face with the
same vehicle that I was driving having been converted to an immaculate Low
Rider or some other radical redesign. I saw that as a sign that it was time
to make a change in wheels.
This one really takes the cake, though. I think I'll reconsider my previous
strategy.
