Several years ago when I edited The Morganeer for the Three/Four Club,
I got
an add for a car for sale along with a "professional" appraisal form.
The
BEST thing about the car was the tires. The car wasn't even running,
but the
appraisal was for quite a bit of money. I can't remember the exact
amount
after all this time, but I do remember thinking that this was way out
of
line considering the many items that needed repair and/or attention. So
even
these appraisal services can be a bit dodgy when buying a car at a
distance.
