Remove the interior of the pump and replace it with a piece of tubing
allowing the fuel to pass straight through it. If you refit the fuellines
on the pump, it will look a 100% original, and you will not need a cap for
the hole.
Hiding the electrical pump in the tank area, out of sight, should not be any
problem.

Emne: Plus 4 fuel pump plate
Folks,
I have a 59 +4 with the TR3 engine. I am going to replace the mechanical
fuel pump with an electric pump. I would like to remove the existing pump
and put a cover over the hole. Does anyone on the list know if there is a
supplyer that makes a plate to cover the hole where the fuel pump goes or
will I need to make one ?
Thanks,
