Terry down under,
Been thinking that a Reliant rear axle with the 3.23:1 ratio would fit the
series 3 I am restoring. My series 5 has a 4:11 and is super for autocrosses
but normal runs here in Texas can be several hundred miles of straights with
very little curvy stuff. For touring a higher rear ratio would be welcome
and either a Reliant axle or a Ford Ranger Pickup truck intended for the
automatic transmission which is also a 3:23:1 ratio but weights twice as much
as the Reliant and in either case retapping for Morgan 15 inch wheels will be
required. Just a thought, keep me informed.
Thanks,
Harris
