A number of years ago I inadvertantly left my '64 +4 4 place's gas cap on a 
pump in Binghamton, NY, too far away to be worth turning around for once I'd 
reached home and discovered my stupidity.  I turned to my brother's '66 
Triumph Bonneville and pondered, then raced to my local Triumph dealer, 
bought a new cap, and it remains today!  If yours is a four place, that may 
be your answer.
