oil pressure gauge lines

After reading the triumph board messages on SS or copper oil pressure gauge 
lines, I am wondering 
if I have a problem now that I recently replaced most of my metal (steel) line 
with a length of 
rubber fuel line. Is there something wrong with this solution?
