Hub Caps

Having problems with the chrome hub caps on my 59 4/4. They are a real bear
to remove as it is nearly impossible to get a screwdriver between the hub
cap and the wheel. Doing so nearly always results in scratching the paint
off the wheel or the chrome off the hub cap. Any suggestions, other than
switching to wire wheels, would be appreciated.
