Measuring for Crosshead Installation

Hello Morganeers:
I'm about to install a new crosshead(subframe) on my 51 +4. I seem to
remember the reference point for measurements should be the front
mounting bolt for the rear springs.

Could someone please verify this for me.

Also is there a specific dimension I should be seeking, or just equal
distances from the spring mounting bolt on each side to some point on
the cross head.

I'd like to verify this before drilling any holes in the new cross head.
