A very high and tight brake pedal is caused by pressure build up in the system. It is usually the result of the m/cyl piston not returning all the way. If your pedal is stiff and does not allow the piston to return you will soon find your brakes very hot and possibly locked.. Fiats loved to do this and I have rescued a few from the middle of the road. Simply open a bleed screw and relieve the pressure. Better yet, find the problem now. Don Greimel |
