You definitely do not want to replae the bearing caps. They are match
machined to their respective rods or main bearing locations and must never
be switched to another location. Being a TR engine with a few miles on it,
it is very likely that the bearing shells are worn. Remove them and observe
the lettering on the back. A standard shell will have std or no number, a
.010 undersize will say .010 etc. Be very carefull to reinstall the caps
in the same direction and location lest you create an oblong hole that will
not work at all. It is best to mark them before taking them off so you will
know how to put them back on.
