Let's just say it was "leather cloth" as the Brits call it. About storing an engine: You can put all the oil and desiccates you want in the cylinders, what happens is that the rings stick to the bore because the oil does not penetrate below the top ring, the lowers stick and you can't turn the engine any longer. I would suggest oiling things up well and turning the crank every few months to keep things unstuck. |
