RE: "...the widow of the owner drove it around Lime Rock with her husband's
ashes beside her..."

Now that's a strange coincidence. The only other Morgan owner in my area that
I know of was a very eccentric college professor and author (BRG '67 +4 4
seater; he picked it up new in Malvern). He drove it until a few years ago,
when he died. His estate sent it around to the local MG shop this past fall
to "get it back on the road". It ran sort of OK, but needed some serious
front-end work and some wood-work around the doors and body sides. I had just
bought my 4/4; if I had not, I would have been interested in the $5000 or so
the heirs (who didn't really want the car, I don't think) were thinking of
getting for it. I'm sorry if I messed up any of my Mog buddies, but, in all
fairness and honesty, I told them they should probably be getting more than
that for it if it was on the road and they could get the half-seized front end
straightened out.

At any rate, the professor used to carry his WIFE's ashes in the Morgan, and
set the urn on his desk in front of the class during his lectures. At the
risk of sounding disrespectful (which I'm not), this passenger and the one at
Lime Rock were probably the only Morgan passengers in history to not complain
about their feet getting hot!!!!
