My garage seems dull compared to all the interesting vehicles. Scarlet (67
4/4 Series V Competition) shares the garage with a '83 Mercedes 300SD, a
Austro-Diamler road bike, an ancient Peugeot track bike and my son's radio
controlled Model T Hot Rod Pickup. The driveway is home to a '96 Jeep
Cherokee Country and soon to be delivered Mercedes M Class.
Former residents of Scarlet's space are:
78 Mercedes 300D (great autocrossing car)
80 Mercedes 240D (everything passed it but a gas station)
70 Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 (passed everthing but a gas station)
71 MGB (nice car had to go to make room for the 6.3)
73 Renault R-17 (wanted an Alfetta GT)
68 Renault R-10 (it was cheap to buy and I was young and stupid)
64 Pontiac GTO Convertible (fast, but not the car for a college student
during a gas crisis)
Scarlet would like to share the garage some day with a 68-69 Morgan 4/4 four
seater with the 1600CC X-flow engine or a mid twenties 3 litre Bentley
touring car.
