4 seater 4/4s have certainly been available fresh from the factory in
the UK up to a couple of years ago. At that time they stipulated that a
4 seater must be a Plus 4 which to me is odd as it coincided with the
move to the Ford 1800cc zetec engine. At present they are not making 4
seaters pending European reapproval to the latest regulations. I gather
that the rear seatbelt regulations are hard to meet in a car with such a
low seat back.
