Wire wheel "truing"

Ahoy Morganeers!

Does anyone out there have any experience "truing" 60 spoke wire wheels? I
have my own ideas but before I proceed "half-cocked" I would like to consult
the experts in the group. Perhaps there is a recommended procedure or
publication outlining same.

Also, is there a difference between a new (painted) wire wheel from Moss and
a new Dunlop wheel from British Wire Wheel other than price?
