Gasoline tanks?

I have our Plus 8 in a car show this weekend and last nite, during 
set-up, I was asked if the Morgans ever had dual gasoline tanks as did 
the Jaguars from the 1930's.  

I personally do not know, cannot recall reading about it in the three 
reference books I have - but the second gas cap is symbolic of 
something, I suppose.

Anyone have the answer?
