To add to Garys information:
I have a copy of the new UK pricelist amd change of secification. Gary is=
=20
mostly correct, except that ali wings are still extra (+=A3705), but ali=
body=20
is now standard. Scuttle roll bar is now included as standard, as is the=20
new dash layout, made solely to accomodate airbags. Actual fitting of=20
airbags may be optional, depending on the market. As to the body shape, the=
=20
principal change is that the door openings are now 2" futher back.=20
Particularly beneficial in a four seater. As always there is a price to=20
pay. For my spec car (plus 4 4 seats) the extra cost is around =A32000=20
Sterling, plus another =A32000+ if I want airbags fitted.
Although the factory is experimenting with new hood designs (front bar,=20
quick to rig), this is not included in the new spec.
The new production system is not fully in place, but whilst a result of a=20
dramatic reduction in build time might be keener pricing, even at Morgan the=
=20
in-house labour component is reconed to be only 22% of final car costs=20
before any sales taxes. What will surely happen is that second hand values=
=20
will fall.
