modified boot

Last fall when I was looking at a Morgan purchase Bob Nogueira posted a
couple of emails to me on the list about a modification performed on the
boot of  his Plus 4 to all his daughter to ride there.  I know own a '67
Morgan 4/4 Series V, so Bob, tell me more about it,  I am interested in
more info on this modification.  My car has a bench seat. Will this work?
