For many years I worked in a large Xerographic Copier / Printer manufacturing
facility here in upstate New York - Not!! the big yellow box.
There are dozens of large forklifts running around everyday with internal
combustion LPG motors in them. I always wondered why they were allowed in an
enclosed building. I assumed that OSHA, in their supreme wisdom, allowed it
to happen. They used to make periodic inspections and would have screamed
bloody murder if it were not in conformance to code.
When ISIS started converting +8s to LPG, I again assumed it was because they
were clean burning. I can't believe that they are more polluting than
regular fuel. OSHA wouldn't allow them to operate in enclosed buildings if
they were.n Or am I being naive?
