Stephen-From everything I've seen, this is possible but perhaps
not practical.I considered such a move for my 4/4, however, the costs
would likely be such that you would be better off seeking a decent
4-seater.You can buy a new body and framing complete, but there are
differences in the dash, windshield, fuel tank, hood, top, and seats
(4-seaters having "sprung" buckets in front rather than the bench
ususally seen in early sixties' +4's),etc. You could get a presentable
4-seater ,with some looking, in the mid to high teens.
I sympathize,as I would like one myself-the kids are getting
cranky about being strapped to the luggage rack.Side note-Ferrari of
LosGatos is advertising a 1989 +4 4-seater.I'm afraid to call and ask the
price, but would be interested to know who imported it,and how.(2-seater
conversion?)
