A while back there was a query regarding the Cd of a Morgan. Quoting
John Tipler's book, Morgan, the Cars and the Factory, Crowood Press,
1993, pp. 155-156:
"...it is not the shape of the front end so much as the flat
windscreen which limits the Morgan's aerodynamics...an
open car has a worse drag coefficient than a closed coupe.
Wind tunnel tests carried out at MIRA six years ago...pegged
the Cd of a closed Plus 8 at 0.42
...the car is stable in side winds..there is considerable downforce
above the wheels...the flat plywood floor is a contributor to its
slippery shape....
