The only reason not to use synthetic oil is it finds leaks a little easier, but most of us live with that. I use Mobil 1 in all my cars, and have had no related problems. 90 Honda civic 180 K (race car, auto-x and daily driver) 72 MGB 145 K (auto-x and weak end drives) 71 914 98 K ( PCA Track car) 96 honda pasport 29 K ( snow ) I did a ring and rod bearing job on the MG around 35 K, started Mobil 1 2 K later.
