Charly,
They are very strict about shoulder belt center spacing. If the seat
crowds the belts closer than 6" on center, it will not be allowed.
Consider modifying the seat. You may be able to cut out the hole
wider, then reinforce the remainder. Be sure to protect against belt
chafing.
You are allowed to shorten belts to have them fit properly. Just make
sure that the result is every bit as good as original.
As a remider to everyone, check your wrist restraints - starting this
year, they must be certified as no older than 3 years. Good
restraints have an SPI tag with a date stamp.
