Hi everyone,
We are considering relocating the muffler. Has any one done this succesfully?
I've heard of one breaking off.
My main concern is what it will do to the torque/power. My understanding is
that the back pressure might actually help give the engine more bottom end
since we rev so low. All the karters seem to go to a header when they are
reving in the 4000-6000 range and keep the muffler for the lower range stock
classes.
We are thinking of adding a straight run of pipe 9" long. Would this have any
effect or is the muffler that much more restrictive?
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
