I need an engine generated source of power. I have looked into the idea of
having an external alternator, but I would rather swap out the current engine
magneto for a generating type. I am not quite sure if this is legal. I think
this sounds like a reasonable engine modification, but who knows. I guess it
could change the engine timing, and the part would not be OE for that engine as
far as I can tell. Has anyone done this in the past?
