Last year I talked to Gary at Woodhaven Industries/Stiletto and I thought they
stopped making the rack and pinions. The Dans Performance rack and pinion is
an exact knockoff of the Stiletto. (They took a Stiletto Rack overseas and
made it cheaper and Gary said they couldn't compete with them anymore). Maybe
that has changed this year... One difference was that the Stiletto Rack has
really nice 7/16" clevis ends and the Dans Performace rack has 3/8" cheapo rod
ends.

Stiletto Products (of Woodhaven Industries) is the mfg
of the chassis shop racks. 12:1 is the quickest ratio
available and they can do custom widths from 6" wide
and up. You'll need some external gears for a quicker
ratio.
These are very good quality racks and their customer
svc is top notch. They are a little spendy though. I
think we're looking at the $89 dollar version that
James mentioned for this year. A 7075 aluminum rack
is available that brings the weight down to a pound.
The pinion is steel. Housing is 7075 Al. Contact
