Maybe this should be coming from BYU as they are the host but anyway:

It has been rather cool and wet the last several weeks and it looks like
the trend will continue. We had fresh snow last night above about 7500 ft
or so and we had some hail yesterday afternoon and also a thunderstorm on
Saturday (not of midwest proportions but enough to be unpleasant). Right
now the prediction is for a chance of showers Thursday and Friday and
partly cloudy on Saturday. The highs on Thursday are supposed to be in
the 60's but only in the 50's on Friday and Saturday with lows in the mid
30's. Probably not T-shirt weather (unless you are from Alberta).
Anyway, it would probably be smart to at least bring some warmer clothes.

However, I would also bring sunscreen as the sun out here can quite bright
as the air is usually clear and the elevation will 4500 ft or higher.
Also what is consider partly cloudy in Utah might be considered mostly
sunny further east.

For travel on Wednesday, there is supposed to be a chance of showers and
thundershowers. For those come from the east, it would be wise to
consider what the weather might be in the high country of Wyoming or
Colorado. If your are coming from Kansas or further south, it is sort of
a toss up whether to go I-80 across Wyoming or I-70 across Colorado to
Green River Utah and then US-50 over Soldier Summit to Spanish Fork. The
passes are higher in Colorado so the the chance of snow is greater but
Wyoming can be really windy. When the event was held in Manhattan,
Kansas, we usually opted to go I-80 across Wyoming but I would rate the
scenery as better on I-70.

Anyway my favorite weather site is: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/Saltlake/
