We were at a resto mod shop that attached magnets to the door panels. =
Big magnets. Held them in pretty well

At some point, MG stopped using screws and finishing washers, =
replacing them with plastic push-fasteners. These were twisted into =
slots/openings on the unfinished side of door panels, then pushed =
through the plastic sheet and into holes in the door metal.
As the sound of panel removal was usually punctuated by the =
=E2=80=98crack=E2=80=99 of these things snapping off, many doors are now =
in service with no push-fasteners. They were pretty much generic items; =
if that=E2=80=99s what held your door panels on, you should be able to =
find them in bags at any parts store.=20

Hello folks,
This sounds like a dumb question as I have had MGBs for ages......but =
what is the correct way of fixing the door panels to the door? =
Currently mine are held on by the window winder, door latch thingy, the =
recently installed loud speaker and nothing at the bottom. It should be =
the little screws and caps like other interior panels yes? If you can =
I would appreciate photos. =20
By the bye, I have just spent an hour getting the panel back on because =
I could not get the speaker holding screws in line with the metal strap =
with 'holder clips' they put in to hold the speaker. Total fiddle and =
blind manouvers!!!!!! But now the speaker fasteners are in and they =
hold the panel. Whew!!!
Cheers
Barrie
