Before you go to the trouble, do some research. When the third brake =
light was first introduced, it definitely caused a reduction in rear end =
collisions because it was novel and new. After a few years its =
effectiveness was in dispute because people had gotten used to it and it =
no longer was novel or new. =20

Instead, get much brighter LED tail lights. IMHO way more bang for your =
buck.
