The direct answer to your question is that manufacturers often put a date code as part of their logo, and this can be deciphered, more information here http://www.mgb-stuff.org.uk/misctext.htm#glass If your glass is other than Triplex try Googling '<manufacturer name> date codes' But then, you may mean something completely different ...
