Simon, I had the same problem with a Moss MGB grill. I couldn=E2=80=99t =
make it fit.
When I had a shop take a stab at it, they wedged it in so tight I lost a =
lot of paint when I went to remove it.=20
Finally used an old original shell, the teeth out of a different shell =
(that had a dent in it), and the vertical bar and badge off the new one. =
The old shell fit fine.
