My car is a '71 and it has the LH black label O/D.=C2=A0 It works fine, an=
d I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work on your car.=C2=A0 Have you c=
onfirmed that all of the electrics are working correctly?=C2=A0 That's usua=

Perhaps a variation of this thread but an overdrive question. On the LH ov=
erdrives, there are two types =E2=80=93 the black label and the blue label.=
Are these interchangeable? I have a 1972 OD transmission (dipstick) but th=
e OD is the newer blue label. Will this actually work? It does not at prese=
nt and my next step was to check the oil pump (need to fabricate a tool to =
get the plug off).
=C2=A0
The story =E2=80=93 I took my OD (with black label) to a shop near Portland=
, OR. They could not replace the clutch disk so opted to just fit this blue=
label OD on =E2=80=93 which does not work currently. That was their fix af=
ter the transmission sat in their shop for several years so they didn=E2=80=
=99t charge me for it. Everything works except OD.
