I have a 1971 MGB on which I am trying to restore the seat belts and should=
er harness back to original.=C2=A0 From 1968 to 1971, they used an arrangem=
ent where the chrome piece on the end of the shoulder harness clipped over =
a special bolt on the top of the body, behind the seats.=C2=A0 The chrome p=
iece on the end of the shoulder harness used two different plastic pieces w=
ith it, one to help hold the clip in place and one to keep the harness mate=
rial from premature wear where it goes through the clip.
The first piece is now available from Moss Motors, so I have those.=C2=A0 T=
he second piece, which I am looking for, clips into the long oval shaped sl=
ot in the attachment bracket.=C2=A0 This piece clips into the same slot tha=
t the harness material goes through, and appears to be there to reduce prem=
ature wear on the shoulder harness material, where it goes through the chro=
me attachment piece.=C2=A0 The piece is less than an inch long, and about 1=
/4" wide, and is made of black plastic.
If anyone has one of these they would be willing to sell, or a seat belt wi=
th this piece in ;place, however you prefer to sell it, please let me know.=
