The 77-80 MGB should have a blanking plate, filling a rectangular switch
hole at the right hand side of the clock. A neat trick I've seen is to
cut two rectangular plates slightly larger than the hole. Purchase a
standard MGB Tee handle choke cable and drill a hole through the two
plates of the correct size to fit the cable. Sandwich the dash with the
plates using the choke cable to hold them together. Voila, an easy to
use choke location that is about the same place as the early cars.

Hope this helps

Kelvin.
