[Mgs] Weber downdraft

Well, I'm going to resurrect this subject again. I finally got around to 
removing this Weber from a '77 MGB.

This particular carb has an electrically operated choke. How does it work? 
It appears to be connected to a +12V source, not to a transducer of any 
kind. How does it compensate for engine temperature?
