[MGS] Od Transmission Help

Nedd some help here . Want to ck the friction material on the sliding 
member of a LH type OD unit .
Can i just unbolt the 8 bolts in the rear casing of the OD unit and 
remove it ? of is there something else that I need to be aware of?
