It all depends on whether the extra height is due to over arching or too high a rate. In the former case removing a leaf would soften the rate as well as reducing the height, in the latter case perhaps *restoring* the rate as well as reducing height. Or perhaps something in between. I've also heard of *reversing* a leaf. With any of them the effects would depend on how the springs varied from the original spec. PaulH. ----- Original Message ----- |
