Sun Visors

Hello Listers,

I have a 1974 MGB. The sun visor clips have deteriorated due to age and 
exposure. I have the new ones to install. 

These are riveted in place. Can the old rivets be drilled out and replaced 
without removal of the top piece of the windshield frame? It seems that the 
glass must be behind the rivets and I don't want to break the glass. Are 
standard 
rivets used or something special?
