There was a discussion of this on the Jag Lovers Web Site. It seems that stainless steel pistons have the matt finish as opposed to chrome plating. The consensus was that the rougher matt surface contributed toward leaking calipers. They recommended polishing the pistons before rebuilding. Maynard |
