I did my own repair a few years back with a propane torch and some solder 
from the hardware store. (What's with solder these days anyway? I couldn't 
find any with lead. I hope the stuff for home plumbing is ok for a car 
radiator.) The radiator appears to be made of brass which takes solder 
readily. Don't try this on a new car, those suckers are made of aluminum and 
plastic.

Anyway, my theory of LBC maintenance is to always refurbish the old part if 
at all possible. You are throwing craps with a reproduction part, IMHO.
