B Alternator Info

All,

Can anyone shed any light on the Specifics for each of the B alternators fitted 
throughout the years?  I am looking to replace the 16AC on my 68 BGT and was 
thinking of going with a later model for internal regulator and a few more amps 
on the output.
I do remeber seeing this info on a web page somewhere but obviously didn't 
think it noteworthy enough at the time to bookmark it.
