I just went through this about two months ago on my car. Buy a bottle of
cable pulling lube. It is stuff made for pulling building wiring through
conduit. It is slippery as snot, evaporates reasonably quickly, and is
water soluble. I was able, with a little pulling, but no swearing, to pull
and simultaneously push the seal all the way across the bottom of the frame
in just a few minutes.
Squirt it into the channel in the frame, and hand lube the rubber about 6 to
twelve inches at a time. Since it does dry quickly, you will want to do the
whole process at once. I think it took me about 10 minutes.

Subject: MGB Windscreen Seal Installation
Hello list.I am preparing to change the windscreen in my 1966 B. The old one
has a large crack and wiper marks. I remember, however, how difficult it was
to install the seal on the first one. In fact, it seemed almost impossible.
The aforementioned seal is the one between the bottom of the windscreen and
the cowl. The seal has a raised, grooved strip that is supposed to slide
into a slot across the full length of the bottom of the windscreen. I
remember lubricating, tugging, shoving, pushing, and a lot of sweating and
cursing.
Before I try again, does anyone have any constructive input on how to make
this a more successful and enjoyable process. All POSITIVE input and
encouragement appreciated.
